Our Qualifications and Commitments

Karen’s journey
Karen’s love affair with yoga and meditation began in her early 20s when she stumbled upon a Yoga ashram near Bellingen in the late 90s. This encounter sparked a profound exploration into the depths of traditional and holistic yoga practices. Inspired by her experiences, Karen pursued advanced studies at the Mangrove Yoga Academy, culminating in the completion of an internationally recognized Advanced Diploma of Yogic Studies (Level 2) in 2008.
Since then, Karen has been a beacon of light in the yoga community, sharing her wisdom and passion through regular classes, workshops, and as a sought-after guest teacher for retreats. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes yoga as an internal journey of awareness, movement, and deep stillness, integrating techniques such as nada yoga (the yoga of sound/music), mantra, asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), and mindfulness.

Having completed one of the most comprehensive yoga and meditation qualifications in Australia, Ben brings a wealth of experience and insight to his teaching. His journey has taken him to spiritual centers in India, where he immersed himself in intensive practices and completed a 10-day silent Vipassana retreat.
